Strachauer Park homes for sale

The Northeaster section of Edina, Minnesota has many great neighborhoods available for today’s home buyers. The Strachauer Park neighborhood is no exception. The actual park is just a short distance north of Highway 62 and is situated between France Avenue and Xerxes Avenue. Residents can access the entrance of the park at 62nd Street and Beard Avenue. The Strachauer Park is five acres of natural landscaping that includes mature trees surrounding it along with a playground for the kids, a basketball court, hockey rink and some soccer fields complete with nets for league play or just for fun. Strachauer Park is named after Hermann Strachauer, one of the people who helped found Edina Park. The neighborhood itself is a residential area that has combined the subdivisions of Edina Terrace, Bel-Air and the Erickson Addition. Most of the homes in this community are from the mid-1900s so buyers can expect classic features and amenities that most of the newly built homes simply do not have. There is also a neighborhood organization – the Strachauer Park Neighborhood Association – that strives to promote the neighborhood and its residents.
